
Many of us have received personal promises, or are seeking a certain thing from the Lord. Often when the Lord makes us a promise, there is some down-time between when the promise is made and when the promise is delivered. It is important for us to stay in faith believing that God is going to keep His word. We do this by saying what He has promised us, speaking the promise in faith, believing.
It is also important for us to live each day while we wait for the delivery of the promise, with joy. While we wait, we can be thankful for the things the Lord has already blessed us with. I am sure all of us can look at our lives and see that we have been blessed. If we have food to eat, a roof over our head, a sane mind, health, love of family and friends, these are all things to be thankful for. When we are in a state of gratitude, it is difficult to be sad. Sadness has no place in us, it is not something that the Holy Spirit brings to our hearts. Rather, the fruit of the Spirit is joy. The…
