Leadership requires an investment from the leader. It can seem obvious, but every person in a position of leadership does not jump up and fill the role of leadership automatically. Some of the basic principles of leadership are not always operating on all cylinders. One of those basic leadership principles is leading by example.
Leaders are called to set the example.
Leaders are called to do far more than just lead by directives and commands. Leaders do not just say what needs to be done. True leaders show others the way.
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
