The world today is in turmoil. War, pandemic, global warming, inflation, civil unrest, and more. Watching the news can be a depressing experience. I don’t know if things are that much worse now than they were 100 years ago. But, at the very least, we are much more aware of world events because of global, near-instantaneous news coverage of every facet of our lives.
Find Rest in God
In many ways, David’s world was much different than what we experience today. Yet he still faced his share of problems. Enemies from outside the kingdom as well as inside. But in the midst of all of the pressures he faced, his soul found rest in God. The world around him might be uncertain. But he could face it all with confidence because his trust was in God.
