When You’ve Tried Everything You Know
It occurs to me we try so hard sometimes when just one word from Jesus could change our whole situation.
Consider this:
The disciples had fished all night and caught nothing.
They spent their time and energy doing things their own way.
They were despondent thinking Jesus wasn’t with them.
Yet, when morning came, He was right there waiting for them on the shore–and they didn’t even recognize Him at first.
He called out to them, “Friends, haven’t you any fish?” “No,” they answered.
He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.”
When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish. (John 21:5-6)
Jesus is there waiting for you this morning too!
