Prayer is not without its own challenges.
Jesus used His parable as a teaching tool in this passage of Luke to show His followers that they should always pray and not lose heart. He wanted them to pray “at all times.” He wanted them to remain dedicated and devoted to a life of prayer without losing heart.

What Jesus was saying when He said to “not lose heart” was that we need to pray and “not give up” (NIV). We need to pray and “not become discouraged” (HCSB). We need to pray and “not to faint” (KJV).
