I recently wrote an article outlining and lamenting ways in which United Methodist bishops are now worsening their long history of needlessly harming congregations, noting the stark contrast in how the Global Methodist Church views its congregations, and suggesting some minimal steps that any United Methodist bishops could take if they truly want this season of separation to proceed more amicably.
