Today’s topic “grace” is much talked about, taught, and even sung. But such is the frequency of it in the Christian walk it can be overlooked, and taken for granted, as if we could possibly say that we know all there is to know about grace. Nothing could be further from the truth; I would go as far as to suggest that such frivolous treatment of grace gives Satan reason to grin and rub his hands in glee.
Grace is given as “charis” in the Greek text; being a benefit, gift, and pleasure. These three words bind the believer to accept God’s grace to Him; His grace is a free gift that benefits us, bringing us pleasure by His hand. But the pleasure involved is two-sided like a coin; we gain pleasure on one side, and on the other Father God has…
