grant to your faithful people pardon and peace;
that we may be cleansed from all our sins
and serve you with a quiet mind;
through Jesus Christ
who is alive with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
The above ancient prayer is used by Roman Catholics (Extraordinary Form), Anglicans, and others. It has a long, shared history which you can find here with commentary and reflection: Ordinary 25, or below. It is used on different days. Having produced collect renderings where they are widely used on the same day, I am working to fill gaps – any comments on the above rendering, or provision of a better shared, traditional collect for this day is appreciated.
