“I once was lost but now I’m found, was blind but now I see.” Amazing Grace saved a wretch like me. When I was a sinner, I was very good at it. In fact, when I came to Jesus there was no doubt in my mind that I needed to be forgiven. I thought that my sins had been so egregious that I could not have a relationship with God. God, in His mercy, sent a total stranger to tell me about His plan of salvation. He knew that I was seeking Him and made a way for me to find out how to be forgiven and have a personal relationship with Him. I may have heard the message of salvation before, but it did not register the way it should have. Having someone speak to me directly and give me the “sinner’s prayer” written down, to say, made all the difference. Sometimes we may think our personal testimony is not all that important, but you may be able to reach someone that others can’t.
