“Mankind, He has told you what is good and what it is the Lord requires of you: to act justly, to love faithfulness, and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8 (HCSB)
The word justice is thrown around so often today, it’s like a beach ball at a rock concert. But the amazing thing that we often forget is that the ultimate justice for the world has already been met. It has been satisfied! Christ is our justice, and in Him is our righteousness.
When I first gave my life to the Lord back in 2009 I understood this; sadly though, I lost my first love for a time. I thought I was justice, because justice lived in me. I tried so hard to accomplish a “successful” Christian life by following the rules, by adhering to all the Do’s and Dont’s.
But in walking along this path, I lost sight of what was truly important; I blurred the lines of justice. To act justly, to love, and to walk humbly is all accomplished by abiding in our Savior.
It is only in my intimate walk with Jesus…
